Last night I uploaded newer files via FTP for IntMath and they appeared correctly in the FTP program as having been uploaded. But there was no change to the files when requesting them with a browser.
I then used File Manager in cPanel with some success - the changes appeared.
Same thing this morning - but without success. It seems that they are cached somewhere and the newer files are not appearing.
Of course I have cleared the cache in my browsers...
Also, there are some strange things happening with log files and error files in cPanel - I gather they are due to the updates you are making (which are appreciated :-))

Hi Murray we just moved all clients from Hobbes to the new server so you may have lost some data on the move. Can you upload them again?

I tried again but still the same deal - shows as correctly uploaded but not showing in the browser.

Make sure you are using 72.9.235.194 as the FTP login info.

I was using "squarecirclez.com" before and changed it to 72.9.235.194 just now.
The files showing on the server were the new ones. I verified this in cPanel's File Manager - which also shows the new ones.
Are the uploaded files going to the new server but the browser request is going to the old server??

Yes, that could be the problem. Please ping squarecirclez.com and tell us what IP it is resolving to for you.

It is resolving 72.9.235.194...
I'm wondering what you are seeing that end. The page www.intmath.com/index.php should have the following at the top of the code:
<style type="text/css" media="screen">
@import url( includes/math.css);
</style>
The old file does not.

No, it does not have that at the top. Try using FTP with 72.9.235.194 and then the page should be updated.

Pls refer to my 04:13 reply - I DID use 72.9.235.194 then and tried it again a minute ago. I can see the files are uploaded properly... I even tried removing the index file and replacing it again - the correct one is there in the ftp app.
Is anyone else having the same problem?

Are you sure the code you are uploading has that code at the top?
We have a few other customers having this problem due to the DNS changes, but it is because their ISP is not resolving their websites to the new server yet.

Yes, I have had plenty of time to quadruple check - all day in fact. The new file is 10793 bites - correctly showing in ftp client.
I also uploaded the math.css script - browser says it is not there.
As for the ISP possibility - doesn't follow if you also cannot see the correct script.

I recommend you wait another 24-48 hours for the DNS to fully propegate.

I had a thought overnight based on your suggestion to ping squarecirclez.com.
I pinged intmath.com (the addon where the new files were going) and it returned 67.18.208.100.
I then pointed the ftp app to that IP and found it did not have the new files. I uploaded the new files and they appeared just fine in the browser.
So I'm thinking now the files were going into the new server and what I have just done is to put the files into the old server. (I just need to get my head around what happened.) Correct?
In which case your suggestion to wait seems the most appropriate...

Yes, that is correct. Some ISPs will take much longer to make DNS changes (up to 4 days sometimes).

Well, here it is 4 days and still the old server is in use.
Please expedite - I am having to maintain 2 servers - one that I cannot see - doesn't make sense.

Same result as all week. The addon account, intmath.com, returns the old server 67.18.208.100.

in ms dos type ipconfig /flushdns. Let me know if that works.

Response was "Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache" however when pinging both of my domains there is NO change.

That is strange, anywhere I check, from my PC, from our servers, from dnsreport from whois servers all report that domain resolving to the new server. The only thing I can think of is removing tmp files even offline ones. Are you using a proxy? That may also be the problem.

So I cannot see why your side says the IP is the new server.
But if I enter "www.intmath.com" I am still getting the old server. This is consistent with the whois report.
It would appear to me that thePlanet.com need to change the setting for this domain.
I am getting sick of the time wasted with this issue. Please fix.

DNS is recreated this should fix your issue -- allow few hrs and everything will be good.
