IT IS BORING<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I replied with the following. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Hi Terry [name changed]<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for your question.<\/p>\n<p>Is it mathematics that's boring or is there more to your question?<\/p>\n<p>One of the big problems is that math teachers have a lot of content to get through and don't have much chance to make things exciting.<\/p>\n<p>I know I can't convince you that mathematics can be interesting in one letter, but let me point out some of the stuff I enjoy in mathematics:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intmath.com\/numbers\/math-of-beauty.php\">Math of Beauty<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intmath.com\/trigonometric-graphs\/music.php\">Music and Trigonometry<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intmath.com\/fourier-series\/7-fast-fourier-transform-fft.php\">Music and Fourier Series<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intmath.com\/complex-numbers\/fractals.php\">Fractals<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intmath.com\/blog\/mathematics\/fractal-tattoos-219\">Fractal tattoos<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You may also find <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intmath.com\/blog\/learn-math\/danica-mckellar-math-wondergirl-765\">Danica McKellar's work<\/a> (and book) interesting:<\/p>\n<p>Actually, if we expect something to be boring - it will be.
