{"id":473,"date":"2006-11-29T06:46:45","date_gmt":"2006-11-29T06:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.intmath.com\/blog\/?p=473"},"modified":"2006-12-31T13:29:04","modified_gmt":"2006-12-31T13:29:04","slug":"mozilla-wiki-collaborative-firefox-creation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intmath.com\/blog\/learning\/mozilla-wiki-collaborative-firefox-creation-473","title":{"rendered":"Mozilla wiki - collaborative Firefox creation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are many examples of collaborative development using wikis. <\/p>\n<p>I came across <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.mozilla.org\/Firefox2\/Status\">Mozilla Wiki<\/a> just now where the development of Firefox 2 is being tracked.<\/p>\n<p>I was struck by 13 downloads per second of Firefox 2 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.mozilla.org\/Firefox2\/StatusMeetings\/2006-10-31\">31-Oct meeting notes<\/a>: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Firefox 2 Post Mortem<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the press has been very positive (schrep: and people seem to dig the nature of this release, which isn't about shoving more in the box, but about keeping true to the slim & trim nature of Firefox)<\/li>\n<li>smooth release<\/li>\n<li>download numbers show maintained level of interest (average download rate is 13\/s, peak of 30\/s) across the world<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Can our current students learn to collaborate like this when on the job?
