Firefox 3

By Murray Bourne, 18 Jun 2008

I was happy to be part of Firefox's attempt at the Guinness World Record for the number of downloads in one day, today.

At the time of writing, there have been 2.4 million downloads.

Take that, Micro$oft 🙂

I was the 3,804th to download it in Singapore and they even gave me a certificate:

I haven't noticed any dramatic changes from previous versions yet, but if they have managed to fix the memory leaks, I'll be happy.

Do yourself a favour and get Firefox 3 today, and help break the record.

HTML: You can use simple tags like <b>, <a href="...">, etc.

To enter math, you can can either:

  1. Use simple calculator-like input in the following format (surround your math in backticks, or qq on tablet or phone):
    `a^2 = sqrt(b^2 + c^2)`
(See more on ASCIIMath syntax); or
  2. Use simple LaTeX in the following format. Surround your math with \( and \).
    \( \int g dx = \sqrt{\frac{a}{b}} \)
    (This is standard simple LaTeX.)

NOTE: You can't mix both types of math entry in your comment.
