For any angle θ, the distance from the origin is a constant 2 units. So this is simply a circle, with radius 2.
To convert r = 2 into rectangular coordinates, we use
r2 = x2 + y2
In this example, r = 2, so r2 = 4.
So this gives us: x2 + y2 = 4
